In this clay workshop you will learn various techniques for you to create your own ceramic clay treasures. I will explain the clay/pottery process and show you some simple hand building techniques such as pinching, coiling, slab construction, scoring and carving for you to create your unique object d'art using Terracotta clay.
You will receive loads of experience and advice tips, plus terracotta clay, of course and the use of stamps - that I have made, and tools. Basically, everything you need to know so that you will feel confident in this creative process so you can make whatever you desire, trinket bowls, tumblers, vases, coasters, plates etc. You can check online for ideas too.
At the end of this session, your creation will be left in the studio for drying, 1 bisque firing, glazing and a 2nd firing, at no extra cost to you. I will contact you in 2-4 weeks for you to collect you creation from the studio. If you have seen the Great Pottery Throw Down, then you will have some idea of this lengthy ceramic process.

- Cost includes everything needed
- 1-6 adults (13 years and older): $40 per hour
- 7-9 adults (13 years and older): $30 per hour
- 1 child under 12years, receives a 50% disc when accompanied by 1 paying adult.
- Suggestions to bring: a towel, and an apron.
- Location: Cherryville, 5134.
- Parking: Our courtyard is limited to 3 cars, so if possible, carpool with a friend. Alternatively, you can leave a car in the old school grounds at 49 Cherryville Road which is about 1.5 kms before our studio and walk down hill to our place. If you have access to a 4WD, you may prefer to use it.
